Scary Sight
Well I have still been good with my eating. Yesterday I was at Mainly Music with Dayna and it was a special Father’s Day session, so Dad’s and Grandpa’s were there including Dayna’s Grandpa. Due to this they had lots of home baking for morning tea and I ate nothing. Will power is a great thing.
Today my programme said 20mins of walk/run. Well I am so unfit and overweight running for 20mins was out of the question but 20mins walking would be to easy, so I walked 3 lamp posts and ran 1. Will do this a couple of times to get my body used to it as I wanted to give up so need the practice. Then a 2:1 ratio then I think 1:1 and then swap it 2 lamp posts run and 1 lamp post walk then 3:1 till I can run for 20mins. That is exciting seeing the process to run for 20mins solid. Although just looking at my programme in 2 weeks I have a 30min session so that is another challenge again.
I think the scary sight was however seeing a short, overweight lady running from lamp post to lamp post and then walking. My trackies need new elastic so I had to keep pulling then up as my wobbly bum was creeping them down. Unless someone followed me it would have made no sense what I was doing either. I probably confused the old people on their daily walk. Oh well.
I achieved my goal so I am happy.
Off to the Audiologist for Dayna as there was a cancellation so she doesn’t have to wait 6 months only 2 weeks since referral yahoo. Can’t wait to hear their thoughts.
