Jelly Wobble
Saturday was my training day but also housework and loads of washing day. I stayed in my Pj’s as knew I would soon be getting out on my bike for 20mins. Well 4pm wasn’t quite the time I thought.
After changing sheets on 2 beds and doing the washing and also starting to train Dayna to go toilet the day started to creep away. We tidied up the DVD cupboard and spent some family time playing a CD single for each of us. Eventually it was lunch time so had to think what was quick and you guessed it Baked Beans on toast won. Finally the cleaning was done and I was starting having a feeling that today I could pass on my training, but yet the other part of me didn’t want to fail.
4pm I finally was on my bike and the kids on their’s while Martin had to push Dayna’s doll Lissi in the buggy (she demanded it) they were going down the street to post a letter while I did training. I took off and felt exhausted straight away but proceeded to the cycle track and noticed the markings which started at 1400m so that helped me to get to 400m and then to 000m which I did. I turned around and came back but left the cycle path as wanted to ride on to the street to see where the kids and Martin were at. Well poor Martin was on a slow journey. I decided to head home as would get me to 20minutes and then walk to meet up with them.
I pulled into home, parked the bike and got off and removed the helmet and started walking down the drive, I was sure I was going to topple over as my legs were like jelly. I could feel them still wanting to go round and round in the pedalling motion. It took a block before they got into a rhythm. At least I knew what to expect on the 25th Jan 2009. I did not like the sensation.
So I did the ride and a walk. The kids were so over it and wanted to sit in the buggy so Martin was having to push a buggy and carry a bike. I am sure he was pleased I met them.
We got home and Martin made the dinner ‘Mince Stir Fry’ I didn’t want the other night but I agreed to eat it and I have to apologise in public to you Martin it tasted good. Thank you.
Went out last night to a friend’s and had a wee nibble of lemon slice, luckily still within points budget. yahoo for treats or sometimes foods.
As of next week the pressure is turned up as 6days of training with Thursday being a rest day.
Happy Father’s Day.
