Can I do it? Yes I can!

My life to being fit and healthy

I’m here again

Thursday was my rest day so rest I did.  Although ate well and stuck to my points quota even with McDonald’s for tea.  This is what Dayna chose.

Friday I got up and even though had the morning for me I still decided to do my Turbo Jam now rather than wait, It was a good session too.

I am pleased I did do Turbo Jam then as my morning disappeared into oblivion and I still didn’t get everything done.  I was running late to pick up Isaiah and his friend Connor who I was looking after.  The kids played well so I potted and got a few things done but somehow the time still disappeared.  I did see some of Oprah which was all about the the Great Sandwich Challenge or something like that.  All the sandwiches look more like NZ burgers and are full of all sorts even though some considered gourmet.

As we left to go and pick up Dayna I had the boys in the car when Connor’s Dad came by to pick him up.  That made the afternoon a little easier as we had a party to go (LIght Party a positive alternative to Halloween) to and Dayna decided on a different costume so I had a bit of running around to put it together.  While out I thought I better get some more milk and bananas as we go through them in days.  I had left my phone at home so didn’t know if I was picking up Martin from the bus so went anyway just in case.  He wasn’t there so off home we went.

Once home we had costumes to dress into.  Isaiah was Donatello (sp) the Purple Ninja Turtle and Dayna an Angel.  I also had Sausage Rolls to make.  Martin was making dinner while I was organising the kids which we now had 4 as overnight babysitting of a friends 2 girls.  We quickly ate dinner and off we went to meet Connor and his family as we had invited them to the Light Party.

Once at the party we had to take photos of all the costumes as Connor was another Ninja Turtle and his sister was an Angel (photos coming to Facebook soon).  The night was good but very crowded I think everyone was there.  We left earlier than planned.  After a detour we put everyone to bed.  Isaiah was out like a light and the girls were asleep within the hour.

Sunday I got up and decided to go for my bike ride even though Martin and I had decided I would do it in the afternoon.  Something said just go.  I was concerned Martin had 4 kids to tend to but I hoped that at 6.55am there would be a dribble of children waking up.

My ride was good, I haven’t clocked it yet, but would be about the 14.7km it was last week.  I was tired coming back I don’t know if due to a different route, the wind or just general tiredness as didn’t get a good nights sleep.  I was so pleased I did go though especially as the weather packed up.  Wind picked up and the rain came down.

Once home we had breakfast to serve and get ready as I wanted to be out at 9.20am to get to town in time for my 10am meeting for Fit and Fabulous.  I got there right on 10am as we left late due to the girls being picked up a little later than I hoped.  Also it was a slow journey as lots of roadworks are happening and the cones and barriers had fallen over in many places so people were merging to avoid them or stopping to pick them up.

Once at the gym we got put into teams.  I am with Stephanie (morning host), Sarie, Fiona and Joanne.  Joanne lives close so she has offered me a ride when convenient.  We got a tour of the gym and had some forms to sign and given a welcome pack.  In it we got a Gym backpack, Sweat towel, tee shirt, drink bottle, headphones all with Exodus on it (gym name) and of course 2 months gym membership.  Yahoo.  We also had photos taken which we didn’t get to see.  As I am short I am always placed at the front so not happy about that.

Oh my goodness this gym is amazing.  It has a computer you log into and get messages from the personal trainer and ideas of how to progress with your programme.  Every machine you use you log on and the machine adapts to what your programme is set for.  This includes weight machines too.  All treadmills, cycles and other machines have a TV so you can watch or listen to whatever you want hence the headphones in our pack.  The membership includes classes and also sauna etc.  So how cool is that.

Our team are meeting tomorrow to get straight into the competition.  The final decision is made by the gym and is going to be on the biggest percentage of fat loss as muscle weighs more than fat.  There are 7 ladies and 1 man.

I will tell you how it goes tomorrow.

Don’t have time to proof this sorry so hope not too many errors.

You really are amazing. I don’t know how you always manage to fit so much into your day.
The gym sounds fantastic. Good luck with everything as you start on this new journey.

It must be quite odd to be in a “team” when you’re all competing for the trip and other goodies.

Sounds like you’re being well catered for and cared for with the new gym. They sure have some new technology. Hopefully you still get to “see” your personal trainer.

Looking forward to hearing about today.
