So much to remember with little sleep
I am very tired as have not slept well for 3 nights now due to a variety of reasons. Too much to think about, Christmas, holidays, Dr visits, end of year parties, gym, etc. Dayna and Isaiah not sleeping well. Hot, or sore or uncomfortable. Also I have had two early starts to add to the tired factor.
I noticed I posted 6days ago so a lot has happened and I can’t remember it all.
Dayna had her end of year day-care party on Friday night and dressed as a Dalmatian. It was in support of SPCA so they were to dress as an animal. She looked so cute. That night we put the Christmas Tree up and looks good the kids were excited and were looking for their names on the presents. We have a rule (some will be familiar with it) if you touch you don’t get. So they have been very good.
Saturday I was at the gym for weigh in and lost 1% fat and 1.4kg weight. No one stayed for a session so I was all by myself and felt quite disheartened as needed the company.
Sunday I went to the gym with Jo so had a good session but by now we all knew Stu had won the prizes as he has lost so much that we would need to loose over 5% to catch up which is impossible for women in 1 week or he needs to put it all back on, which is unlikely. I have noticed one of the girls has eased up majorly which is funny as she was the biggest stress-er of the lot of us. I am still going strong as don’t want to be at the bottom. In the afternoon we all made 3 sorts of truffles, these are our treats to our friends this year. We made this batch for Martin’s students as the year is nearly over. I then went for my walk that night which was a nightmare.
Sunday night was the Lower Hutt Christmas in the park. The Park is the one that has the walking track and is close enough to home to be my regular walking venue. Well I played 40mins of dodgems trying to avoid people, picnic baskets, police, cars, idiots to do my walk. Even the security people wouldn’t get off the walking track to allow me to walk on it. They just didn’t care. Now this track is obvious as is paved so not a case that I was being stubborn. Either side is a grass embankment that they could have stood on while I passed on the track. I couldn’t wait to get home. We were going to go but we were all tired and it was 7pm till 9pm so thought it was to late for our tired kids. As it happened the fireworks didn’t end up going off till 9.45pm and I heard that a lot of the music was reggae and other non Christmas music. People complained last year for the same reason.
Monday I was up at 5am for the gym and needed a Nana nap that afternoon. I had taken Dayna out to buy her 2008 Christmas ornament and some other bits like candy canes and treats for the various parties.
Tuesday was a 5am start again and I was pleased to visit our friends for the afternoon to keep me awake. I went for my walk that night but found it hard as Dayna was in tears and clinging to me not to go and I was tired but still did it. We watched some programmes on TV and went to bed.
Today I have been to the gym and had a one on one session which was tough. I can however do 20 sit ups with no assistance. I am going back next week to have my at home programme made which is fantastic. I picked up some plastic gift bags for the treats we are making and came home to catch up. I am about to get Isaiah and we will make some biscuits for the 2 Kindy parties. We will put green or red icing on them and then a marshmallow shaped like a Christmas decoration on top.
Tonight is our Christmas Club night so hopefully that is a good night and we may win something. So out fridge and cupboard will be full so that will be a relief and tempting.
Saturday is the final weigh in which is good as I am too busy and tired so the trip in everyday will be gone, nice.
Monday morning I did my usual weigh in but didn’t loose anything. I am hoping to be under 80kg by New years which is possible.
Next week I am back into full on training for my Duathlon so it will be nice to have that focus back.

I think you’ve shown great character to continue to give the challenge as much now as before you knew it was impossible to win. You’ve got honour!
I’m sure the at home programme will be a success. I know you’re loving the new definition in your body and will continue to redefine your shape.
You’ll enjoy getting back out into the elements (wind and all) as you now move into the dedicated training for the upcoming Duathlon.
You’ve done extremely well. Lots to learn, lots of highs and lows but I bet when you look back, you wouldn’t have missed this opportunity.
